Despre poveste

„Nu. Era promisiunea cuiva care a refuzat să-l uite.”

About the story
Sent to catalogue manuscripts in a Transylvanian fortress, historian Daria discovers a diary describing a Vlad very different from the one in the legends. Entire pages have been torn away; a woman's name has been hidden beneath black ink. Radu, the fortress's quiet caretaker, asks her not to open the crypt before sunrise. Daria doesn't believe in curses, but she believes in people who conceal the truth. Between a tale of blood and a connection growing in the shadow of ancient walls, she discovers that history is never as simple as it seems.

A heart pierced by a sword was drawn on the diary's first page. “That's not Vlad's crest,” Daria observed. Radu looked towards the tower, where a single candle burned. “No. It was the promise of someone who refused to forget him.”
